Onward…

The holiday decorations are packed away, but my creative spirit is still sparkling. As we embrace 2025, I’m excited to share that my mystery is entering its final stages. After 70,000+ words and countless cups of coffee, this story about a small-town murder that unravels decades-old secrets is almost ready for its next big step…

The Journey Through Editing

My manuscript has evolved through several crucial phases:

Beta Readers: Their feedback helped me see the story through fresh eyes and identify areas that needed more depth or clarity.

Developmental Editing: This phase was a game-changer, refining the structure, pacing, and character arcs to make the story even stronger.

My Own Revisions: Armed with insights from others, I’ve made additional tweaks to ensure the novel aligns with my vision and storytelling goals – even with my cat’s occasional ‘editorial contributions’ when he walks across my keyboard! (I’ve since learned to close my office door during writing sessions.)

Looking Ahead

With the manuscript polished and ready, I’m preparing to query literary agents. While the prospect of putting my work out there makes my heart race, I’m excited to find the perfect champion for this story.

Writing is such a journey, and I’m grateful for all the feedback and support that’s helped me get this far. Here’s to the next chapter—literally and figuratively! Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for following along on this adventure.
